I'm trying to decide where to mount the spare tire and was just wondering what others have done. With the new tire, it will no longer fit under the hood up front.
Right now I'm thinking about attaching a mount to the back of the roll cage - or even mounting it on top, but I'm not sure how it would look. I don't particularly like the look of it on the hood - though I guess that's an option as well. Maybe on the rear deck - with something like www.rat-cage.com ? Any ideas?

I'm just going to keep a regular-sized spare in my trunk. If I pop a rear tire, I'll just swap the front tire on to it so the size difference is in the front. _________________ 1974 Thing -- under the knife

Mine is under my bar stool seat in the shop. It raises it high enough so I can see my computer and work at the bench better.
Not much good for a flat, but it sure helps in the shop |

I have the swing out... it works fine, although I lost a hinge bolt and had a hell of a time putting a new one in and getting adjusted right. |

LOL - very nice, though after just getting it painted, probably a bit more bodywork than I want to tackle! _________________ Mike in SC
