my new 54 has had new heater channels installed but of course they have the louvered outlets up front. could someone do me a favour and measure the location referencing the floor and the front bulkhead for me?? I have an original set of mesh grills being shipped to me and I want to graft into the propper factory spot then weld the louvers shut.

also does anyone have a 54-55 with original channels without carpet installed that they could post a pic of the channel just behind the hinge pillar? I searched the gallery but no luck. The aftermarket ones that are in the car have a flat stamped area in that spot and i'm wondering how OE one's are shaped.

thanks josh

sounds like you have the generic Danish made channels that have the 69 and later heater location stamped but not cut out.

see below

Yes they would be smooth and not have that flat spot.

I think you can pour POR15 in the heater channel and let it be. I had a buddy do this while his car was on the rotisserie. He the taped up the grill and rotated the car. Pulled the tape off and drained out the excess. I think the same result could be accomplished with a Jack and some patience....

Front quarter, the area around the bumper bracket to the shelf would rule.....I installed your rear patch panels with bumper brackets. And searched long and hard to find a nice OG front apron. But had no luck with a correct spare tire well, so I used the WW version. No sooner was it welded in did you introduce the correct one. Your new one is awaiting its install. I love and hate you wolf1 Razz Cool
