I've heard that taking down the soft top is a two man job,is It? I've had a jeep wrangler how much harder can it be than that.

i just drop mine! i should do the whole roll...fold...tuck dance, but no...i just drop it! yes i have some sun "damage" on the inside and a crease across the plastic window but the overall utilitarian convenience of it all...i just drop it!

That's a nice video, but it contradicts the instructions in the owners manual.
I bought my VW brand top at the VW dealer parts department in 1983.
It is still in great shape; having been folded "by the book" for almost 30 years.
