I notice when I turn on the head light , the idle drop about 100RPM.

Battery at 14.2V when engine running, 13.2V when engine stop.

I am using compufire electronic ignition.

Is there something wrong?

Any idea what to check ?

Thank you.

when you turn on the headlights it puts a load on the generator or alternator making the engine work harder. you might also notice when you rev up the engine the head lights will actually get a little brighter. 14.2v is a good charging voltage.

14.2 is good,
But a good way to test is to start the car and bring it up to proper operating temp..
Then, turn everything on..headlights on highbeam,turnsignals/hazzards..
wipers and the radio, check the voltage then..Still around 14? if so, you know your charging system is good
