Anyone seen these Bug Me videos?

http://www.bugmevideo.com/

I know they're centered on Type-1. Is there enough relevance to Type-3s to justify purchase? I'm considering volumes 1, 3, and 4.

I have number three and rebuilt a Type 1 based on it. They are VERY GOOD. They are better if you have more of them, if something was covered in another video they will skim over it (example #3 does not go into detail on how to tighten your flywheel bolt because its covered in another video.) They even mention it. That being said the missing info is usually in a the Haynes or the Bentley anyhow. There is also supposedly a type 4 engine video, and if I am not mistaken the guy who does it is "Jake Raby" who has a account on thesamba.com - just another good reason to try it out.

A few missing details but no big deal. Its good just to see how its not that big of a deal to take an engine apart and repair it (vw or not)

EXCELLENT video for #3 Jake, I have plans to soon get the Type 4 rebuild video as well. If I can ask, what is the subject of your newest video? Like I said above the more videos you have the better they work together. Individually very informative as well. Any chance of a Type 3 video in the future?

Volume 13

Volume 14

Doesn't list a Type 3 video - yet would you really do suspension Jake? I think the only suspension you're doing is holding out on the Type 3 video,,,, Very Happy

The order of release.....hmmm

soon to the release?

I don't know that Jake Raby is actually the person involved in the production of these; I know he was with the Type 4 video, but not the rest...

if I am incorrect, Jake, I know you will not be too shy to correct me....

The reason I said that is Jake said above.

I realize he is not responsible for the series as a whole more of an apperance in his area of expertise. I would assume his new video would be engine related - going by reputation - but for now he is the one who knows. I don't want to force any cats out of any bags, (as if I could) we'll just have to wait and see what the content of the new video is.

and no, he doesn't seem real shy.

I only work with engines, I drive cars- working on them as little as possible (thats why all my cars are TIV powered)

Bug Me consulted with me on their TIV engine video, then we teamed up again in 2003 to shoot a Typre 4 Conversion video..

The video I am producing currently is my own effort and is not affiliated with Bug Me Video.

I am doing this only because I want this video to be produced and edited in a particular fashion..

The topic is Type 4 Performance engines, it'll be a 3 volume series.
