Engine build questions

Ok guys I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and should be able to do this myself. Can someone list what I would need to build a complete engine for a 71 Fasty. I want carbs.

My BIL is an electrical engineer, and can't change a light bulb. As Glenn said, get books.
