Yeah, those are kind of a pain. You have to bend the flat part of the tube over, so it will face back when it's bolted to the top of the shock. I tried bolting it on then hammering it back, but the angle is weird and it wasn't working. I found it was easier to put them in a vise and get the angle close and then keep tweeking them until they fit. _________________ Throw me a bone here. All I wanted were

They mount like 2gr8dgs does, except I drilled through both the tubes and bolted the brackets to the bumper instead of welding them. _________________ Throw me a bone here. All I wanted were

Is this one better or worse than the others?
Mine (I think) attaches to the framehorns on the bottom....I can't find a decent pic of it right now...
The top of mine:
Ties into the rear of my cage:

Why are they so tough?
I learned one thing about Vdubs early on......live and learn.....my 1st project was a 67...so I learn quickly. _________________ Look at my for sale ads.

Thanks i got the mounts and installed them, not bad went on good with a little persuasion(hammer).I was just confused at the fact that i had the wrong mounts.luckily i had to remove the shock bolt because the bolt was so loose it was about to fall out . _________________ He just got the HP to IQ ratio wrong

Yeah....that could be bad... Another thing I've learned is that one project can easily (and quickly) turn into a completely different project. _________________ Look at my for sale ads.
