Well I responded to an ad for a 1968 euro model sunroof automatic notchback and got a chance to look at it today. Needless to say I brought it home! Will post pictures and update thread when time allows!

Yup. Had it towed home tonight. Sweet car!! Came with woodslat rack, extra dash pad, nice extra driver front fender and original parcel tray. Pretty excited to add it to my collection. No real missing parts

Probably never was. EFI was a rare option in Europe.

There is some rust in the rockers. Not terrible but its there. Also needs new battery tray. Driver front fender had rust also but it came with a beautiful replacement. One respray over original beige. Original badgeing was in the car. Dents and dings here and there but in overall great shape. 100% og complete engine came with it. More pictures tonight after work if possible. Stay tuned

No problem I had no idea they did not have EFi on euro mdls in 68. I have always wanted a 68 sunroof notch ( it's the year I was born) I'm always looking for a 68 square or notch with a sunroof. One day I will land one too. I'm glad it went to a good home. Very Happy You got a rare visite on your thred from Jim adney If you need anything re-built on the car he is your man. He spent HRS under the hood of my 69 notch at the last invasion. It hadent run in over 20 years and he got all the EFI working how it should. It runs so smooth now. Laughing

The seller was as cool as they come! He has had the car for 23 years and drove it while he was young. He had better offers but thought I would give it the best home! He bought it from the second owner. Story is the original owner was Mr. Mezzetti who owned Mezzetti Vw in Fremont,Ca in the 50's and 60's. He was told Mr. Mezzetti paid to have a Automatic Notchback imported for his wife who could not manage a manual transmission. Very cool story!!!

Got a few more pictures up from today. Will be behind on the thread a little since I'm working all week. The notch is pretty solid, but has rust in battery tray and rockers. Any one know what type of rack and parcel tray it came with? Here are some pictures.
Heres the rack

Any info on the roof rack or parcel tray. Searched with no luck. Also the sunroof was siliconed shut. I got most out but not all and the sunroof won't open. Seems like its getting stuck sliding in. I'm trying to figure out how to remove it without being able to open it. Any ideas?

Sweet thanks for the info. Glad it's a voa original. Not sure of the roof rack. It had 11 wood slats. Anyone know? Hopefully get around to installing the motor this next week and might start stripping it down to the original paint.

Hi, awesome notch.

That parcel shelf is a Kamei product. I have a white one on my 69 auto square.

Id be interested to know what your distributor number is as my car is a euro model and I've struggled to find out what dual carbed automatics are supposed to be running.

Enjoy your notch Cool
