Can anyone add to this list:

Trip speedo
Fresh air fans
Rubber bumper trip
Jailbars
Headlight washers (saw a photo of this)
Double fold-down middle seat
Second sliding door
Under-the-engine protection kit
Cyclone air cleaner
Engine snorkel

Also, what are the rarest of the rare?

Clock in dash rt.side hole ,cig. lighter, finger guards for door handles, front fresh air vent trim. Not the chrome trim that bands the vent,it's 2 pieces of stainless that clips on the air vent leaves a 2in. gap in the middle.I found these at a junk yard on a 69 never seen them before, stamped VW so I snagged them. Rubber bumper trim and late bay clocks are not rare. I keep putting them up on ebarf and just about give them away!
Early [silver center disc] bay clocks are tough to find. As well as:
68 only upper brake reservoirs.
68 only wiper arms, they have the end of a split bus arm where they mount and the other end as a bay.
68 only door handles, same as 67 but the paddles are longer. [lever action started in 69]

How about clock with gas heater timer control in the middle to set when to start and shut off. I found one of these once, the date stamp on the back is 77 I think. Another cool rare thing might be the 68-73 upper bunk thats not a hammock but a flip out hard bed similar to 74 on busses. Oh yeah and how bout that thin sisal type carpet that went on the rear floor over the lino, and under the dash parcel trays. Hmmm, what else is there?

I am out of bus clocks right now..... I am always looking for more.

iesugrist: I have a set of Champagne Edition bumper rubber and a pair of nice Westy green door panels. 76 to 79.
Westy door panels are different than bus door panels. Bus doors have a pull handle held on with 2 screws. Westies have an armrest held on with 3 screws.

A trip speedo is a speedometer with a resetable odometer in the face. Most new cars have them, with a little push button to reset.

I have seen a lot of Australian Baywindows with neat Split Window style external tinted sun visors. I have also seen some Australian bus' with ridged non-translucent sunvisors that stick straight out from above the windshield. You see a lot of full sized trucks and vans around with them around here.
