Where is the best place to wire this so it doesn't cause electrical problems. Want to plug in a cell phone, etc.
Thanks. |

In your honda.......
no just kidding, you can put the cig lighter just about anywhere on the dash, I suggest somewhere left of the ash tray so you don't have to make the wires too long. the one thing you want to make sure of is that when you plug it into the fuse box, choose a fuse curcuit that doesn't have much else on it and make sure it is a circuit that shuts off when the key is not in. good luck! |

I personally wire cigltrs to constant power, but I don't claim to be an electrician. I don't like to have to have the key on, or even in the ign in order to power 12V accs. I like to have things recharging while I'm away. I install an inline fuse(and carry a few spares of this type). Mabey this is unsafe? I don't think it's any worse than the factory fused 12V constant circuits, probably safer, it's not 20yrs old. Dave |
