Can anyone give me suggestions on what it's going to take to fix a burnt valve on my 82 Westy 2 liter engine? Thanks

Time and $$$$...?

How many miles on the thing?, any idea?

If it has alot, I would say tear the whole thing down, you do not want to spend $$ on a "top end" if the camshaft and other internals are worn or near the end of thier service life.

did it drop the valve/ seat or what?
these engines are prone to that and or cracking the heads.

Have you torn it down yet? how do you know it is burnt?

I would do some research, try www.type2.com and www.bostonengine.com. Bostons Bob's site has some good info.

good luck, post what's going down...
