I sold mine for $4,500, but of course it wasn't NOS, but it was VERY VERY nice.
I bought a fully loaded one that is now in my ghia (NOS aircleaners, manifolds, perfect heads and crank with NOS 36hp cylinders, etc, and NOS 36hp case, built by one of the #1 2 piece Porsche engine builders on the east coast for only about $3k more.
Who the F would put a NOS Okrasa in their car anyway? Once you drive it one mile, the value drops by 75%.

It really requires a "show" mentality. You open the deck lid and everyone goes..."Wow" but the reality is a type 4 motor blows them away. Keep the deck lid closed and kick butt on Porsches for 1/3 of the price.

good point bob. someone just told me that anyone can build a big motor, but not everyone can build an nos okrasa motor.

Don't get me wrong.......I would love to have that perfect Okrasa, but they are outdated technology that is very expensive for the "look"....and that's about all.

I know where you can get a 57 engine complete with all of the Okrassa goodies installed. Last I heard he was asking $6500 for it. I have seen it and it is all there...............
