Can someone tell me if these bumper guards are for the front or rear? And what year models they fit...

R/F also fits L/R.
L/F also fits R/R.
Hard to tell from the pic what corner(s) those fit.
That type of bumper guard was used through 1971.

not quite Vince....for guards with overriders, inside each guard is stamped a position code (upper mount):

VL=front left
VR=front right
HL=rear left
HR=rear right

For Euro guards and 72-74 guards, the F/R fits R/L and F/L fits R/R is true.

OK Mike, I'll go with that.
However, lots of guards I see have no position code
visible any longer. In those cases, swapping from
appropriate corner to the other (as noted) seems to
work just fine. Is this a total no-no?

Same here.
I was just wondering if doing the old diagonal swap
does some harm. They seem to fit just fine.
