Ivory Karmann Ghia Cabrio with black top, in parking lot. YouTube travel video "San Francisco 1963 archive footage".

Looks like a '70/'71 Ghia Cabrio due to seeing the bumper's right "short" towel bar. TV NBC Mystery Movie series "McMillan & Wife- The Easy Sunday Murder Case" season 1 episode 2, 1971. Poor resolution which I tried to clean up with photo editing. San Francisco, California police commissioner Stewart McMillan is pursuing the white Jaguar sedan and comes up to this Ghia in traffic.

Dark colored Ghia Cabriolet in city traffic, behind a BMW Isetta. German 1964 documentary "Der Autokult" produced by the German TV station SWR (Suedwest Rundfunk, Southwest Broadcasting) and fully named "Der Autokult- Zeichen der Zeit 1964". It's a skeptical, critical and somewhat pessimistic view of how automobiles have proliferated in Germany and influenced general culture.

^ Good one, Bryan. Must've been one that Jethro drove over. Elly May looks comfortable since she got along with so many critters such as frogs and toads. Wink

IMCDB lists the Tow'd from season 9 episode 17 "The teahouse of Jed Clampett" (1971). I skimmed thru that episode on YouTube and did not see it. Went to one episode before and after; and there it is in ep. 16: "Women's lib". Miss Hathaway actually drives it! In the photo, she's strapping a suitcase to its rear platform.

The 1976 movie "Car wash" has been listed several times already, but this sequence of the orange Beetle Cabrio has not yet been shown. The movie was filmed at the "Dee-Lux" (Robert Taylor's) Car Wash - 610 South Rampart Boulevard at West 6th Street - Los Angeles, California. In the first shot, the man hand-washing the front of the Beetle is main character Lonnie, played by Ivan Dixon who was probably best known as playing the radio engineer "Kinchloe" in the TV show "Hogan's Heroes".

Ivory, or possibly Bamboo (L241) Beetle Karmann Cabrio, German movie "Immer die Maedchen" (1959, translated Always the girls). Likely Bamboo with the olive green door panels.

Surprised no one's mentioned the History Channel documentary 'Hitler's Engineers'.

Episode 5 is about Ferdinand Porsche and development of the Volkswagen.

(Unsurprisingly) KDF wagens feature heavily, including Richard Hausmann's. There's a scattering of later VWs and a brief piece with Mr Hausmann talking about the KDF wagen.

1985, "Shoah: First Era", a 9 hour documentary on the holocaust. In this scene the producers where upstairs interviewing an ex-Nazi and unbeknownst to him he was being secretly recording and the signal was being transmitted out front to the bay window pack with receiving and recording equipment. If you look closely you can see a tiny antanti mid roof on the bus.

Rick & Morty season 7 episode. They push an old Bug into a fresh grave of "reviving" soil. They never actually showed the Bug coming to life though.
