He made me an offer I couldn't refuse and now I have a post accident vehicle (it was tipped). It runs drives and even came with a Z-bed, pretty sweet hung?

I don't know what to do, try and fix the damage, turn it into a rat rod, or strip the old girl down? Its a 72 with a type 1 engine setup up in it (Euro style) something I've always wanted to do to my 72.

The sad thing is, the guy that sold it to me said "I can still smell that VW smell" I guess it really ruined his buzz.

I'd pull that rear air intake out so it isn't choking off cooling air, put a windshield in it and rock that sumbitch. It doesn't look ready for the scrapyard yet. If you really got ambitious you could replace that entire corner, but I would drive it as is myself.

What Tech said, ditto. I don't see anything there that could not be fixed.

Yeah, just pull out that air vent and rock it. That is by no means ready to die yet. Smile

This brings up a good question I had when I first bought my Bus: How easily do these things lay over? Of course if I took a turn at 60 I imagine it would tip pretty easy but really what are the odds and has any one heard of this happening?

I tried using the search feature and it only brought up one post about tipping the body with frames to do body work.
