head and tail light assembly complete-for a 59' bug

hi- can anyone tell me the value of a full set of headlight and tail light assembly for a 59' bug? I am told they are a rare find, and I dont want to get burnt, but I want to make someone a good deal too! Can anyone help? thanks

My Opinion-

If they are the correct glass taillights complete NO RUST All clips they are going to retail about 60-75.00.

Headlights aren't real popular because it's easier to buy those Reproduction than to go out and have originals re-chromed etc. It also depends on what glass lenses they have..if they are the old generic see throughs or if they are euro fluted will make a difference...normally no more than 20-25.00 for a good used set..price goes up with quality of part..but not too much.

So your looking at like 100.00 for the whole set at the HIGH end..about 80.00 in the middle and a cool swap meet find of 60.00.

Once again just my opinion...I'm from California so the parts aren't that hard to find...if your east coast the price may go up as they can sometimes be difficult to locate.
