Hey Dragon,

I dont know of any mechanics in Lawrence but if you can wait, I would go to the VW show (I think its called Bug Fest or something) Memorial day weekend there in Lawrence and ask around. If anything you might be able to meet some folks who could help you with what ever problems you are having.

I'm going but havent decided which one of my Fatties I am going to take up there. Depends on the weather I suppose. Very Happy

PM me and maybe we can meet at the show for a beer or something.

Jason

Yes Vee Village is still around. They are downtown right across from the new KC Star building.

i will be going to Walkie fest all four days. Smile Thanks for the info onthe shop in KC I just wanted to find a great shop to "go through" my bus honestly and accurately ( I bought the bus in Feb.) I know that I should probably become my best mechanic eventually.

Also I don't have reverse. I bought a front shift bushing but I think I'm missing the metal ring/clip. The part only came with the plastic/rubber bushing????

I take my 73 Westy to Das Autohaus at 1045 New Jersey in Lawrence...they do good work..especially Rob, but dave owns the shop...I worked there for a bit too so I can tell you they do actually do good work...
