I was wondering which engine tins can be changed between engines? Will the one on the Manx fit on the beetle engine???

Thanks

Yes they're pretty much interchangable, just keep the dual port tins with the dual port heads and you'll be good. The doghouse flaps, shroud and thermostat need to stay with the doghouse cooler if that's what the baja is.

Ok well the beetle engine is going in the manx... And i'm still a little confused, the engine time is considered to be the metal that the coil is bolted to on both engines, right?.. If so can I take the one off the manx that does not have those two capped off extensions and place it on the beetle engine?

What you seem to be referring to is the "FAN SHROUD".. They should be interchangeable....EXCEPT if one is "dog house" style (offset oil cooler) and one is not..... The two fresh air outlet shroud (or not) in a Manx is a non issue. But you have to have shroud that matches oil cooler configuration.

That's just the fan shroud. The tins include the shroud and the metal that surrounds the cylinder jugs.

With the shroud you need to see if you have the same style oil cooler on both engines. Look at the front on the left side, if you see a small radiator looking thing that is a dog house style.
