hi !!

i am reassemblying my 1302 car`s FRONT brakes after i got new hoses , cylinders , bulbs , etc ....

new hoses are "ate" brand , both ends female , and near one of it`s ends there is a rubber jacket of about 2 1/2 inches ....that jacket seems to be there to protect the hose from damage caused from rubbing ....

the question is : should i install that part towards the body or towards the wheel ???

the service manual does not cover that part nor includes any pic ...

anybody could help me ??

thank you so much in advance !

Ricardo

I don't think that jacket is to protect from rubbing. It's to prevent kinks from bending. I say it would go on the wheel end because thats where the most bending is.
