Hi everyone have question ?So when I came home the other day I used my parking brake and I noticed that the pawl and pawl pin came out of handle luckily it was on the floor and I didn’t have to use a magnet to find it.What I can’t figure out is what keeps the pawl pin secure to the handle?I don’t see a grove for a snap ring to seat?

Helped ya with the pic.
I've never worked on a 59 so, I don't have an answer for the lack of a snap ring on the pin.
Someone here knows and will help out. _________________ I have learned over the years.

This is the pin that goes thru the e brake handle. The thin circlip is what holds it in place. One at each end.

.
Reinstall and flare the end of the pin out... friction fit. Then make sure your cables are properly adjusted - fully engaged, four clicks.
