New to TheSamba and was looking for some trouble shooting ideas on how to go about fixing a gas gauge that isn't working. Before anyone says it, yes, there's gas in the tank! I picked-up a one-owner '72 SoCal Bug that's in great shape. Aside from the gauge, the blinkers aren't working, but that's about it.

I find a lot of times, it is the nuts on the back of the gage unit are loose or missing. Check those before you condem anything else.
