Seeking advice how to straiten a tweaked nose, preferably without expensive tools. Wink Of course if such is required, then save up and get it, unless can borrow.

Only forward of the spare tire bulkhead, sans quarter panel behind the fender, is affected. When I had the fuel tank out, everything measured fine.

Thanks in advance. Very Happy

I would try removing front bumper, attach a stout rope or cable to the front bumper brackets(the lower ones) , and attaching the rope or cable to a strong tree. Make the rope or cable fairly long about 10 to 20 feet. Back the car with a sudden surge, let off gas and hang on for the jolt. Do this gently at first to become accustomed to what the jolt will feel like before getting real aggressive with this approach. Wear seat belt and after each pull check to see if it is working. You could use the same approach with a come a long or a winch but you would have to lock the car in place by blocking, chaining down, or whatever method you could come up with. Be careful and good luck with this hillbilly method.

You need a cheap porta-power ram. It will allow you to push where you want... and probably get it damned close.
As with anything, the more you use it, the better you will get at it. Go slow, it's easy to be overzealous and push something too far.
Even the harbor freight unit will get the job done, or one of the many similar import units on amazon.

I've had a few of these over the years, it's more than enough for what you're doing

But will that be at an angle such to not only pull in the horizontal but also in the vertical?

I have had a ram in my Amazon wish list for some time, not ordered partly due to finances and hit or miss reviews, hate to pay a lot of money and not have something last (very common now with made in China products).

Are you saying you have purchased the ram that has been linked to?

My question is how to proceed with the repair, especially where to pull or push. I been thinking on it for almost six years, at least three thinking how to straiten with a ram. Now has gotten more complex seeing the impact was at a downward angle.

Hard to say how the angle will work. You can try a few gentle pulls to see what effect it has. This will probably not be a quick and easy repair. After a few pulls look at how the damage is reversing itself. It should somewhat pull up while pulling out with a straight line pull. As some of the pushed in metal releases, you will probably have to remove the fenders to see what the creases are doing. If they do need to go up you will need another method, probably a port a pull as mentioned by another member. Good luck-Bob
