Hiya fx87,
If I'm correctly interpreting what you have written, your turn signal indicators are functioning but the indicator light in the speedometer is not flashing. Is that right?
If that is the case then you likely have one of three problems.......
1. Your turn signal relay is malfunctioning. What is described above is a symptom of the turn signal relay beginning to go out. And be sure that all the connections to the turn signal relay are bright and shiny.
2. The connection between the relay and the bulb in the speedometer is damaged or unconnected. In earlier models (sorry, I'm not all that familiar with a 72) this wire would be green with a blue runner.
3. The bulb is shot. This would be the first item to check. _________________ Mike

| Mine did something similar. Like Bookwus said, check the bulbs first. They are cheap. My relay actually vibrated loose (in half). After snapping it back together, everythinng worked fine. I still plan on ordering a new relay. |
