I was wondering if anybody can help me decide what carburetor is ideal for my engine. Me and my dad built this engine and from what I can remember this is what I currently have on it
94 mm mahle pistons
new dual port heads (not polsihed)
engle 110 cam
ebi lifters
empi crank
stock rocker arm assembly
scat pushrods
I was previously running dual dellorto's 36 the problem i was first encountering was i could not get the carbs to synchronize. After replace gaskets and o rings i got fed up and only switched to the single the car now idles fine and what not, but i was not happy with my power out come. the main jet is 155 amd idle are 60. Was debating on going bigger perhaps single 40 or even 44? was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for me. |

The twin 36 dells you have a great carbs, anything else you buy like weber 40's wont magically jet and set themselves up.
So Work on the dells, get them clean inside , float levels right and jetted.
There are many people here would will help you get them set up. Upate kits are available from CB performance also.
Your unported heads are your main restriction to decent power, i would say your at maybe 80hp now , with heads and both 36's you could see 120hp+ _________________ (06:31:07) RoachGhia: "i drink dick way too fast" |
