help!!! how do in fix this im freaking out!!! i dont want to have to pull the engine and the entire transmition

Well you really need to pull the motor and trans to fix it, at least correctly. Don't fear it though, it's not too hard of a process. Is this a rail buggy?

The frame horn looks rusted from the inside out (which is common unfortunately), and they look like they've bent down from "abuse", so patching them isn't going to help. Best bet is to cut them off and weld custom ones on. Berrien buggy sells a kit. I just went to the web site (which is new, they have new owners) and couldn't find the kit. Their prices and quality are usually pretty good.

i am sure you have read it already. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=523587&highlight=frame+horn with the turbo, the car is going to be making a lot of torque so doing it right and adding some bracing from the frame horns up to the frame will help keep things in place. might even be a time to change over to IRS if you want.
