Beware of buying the Duralast / 450 Amp jump start pack, part BP-DL. Piece of junk. I bought one after Thanksgiving got to use it it twice since then. Recharged the unit as per instructions after each use. Battery light showed charged next day. Battery acted up on me today, went to use. Wouldn't charge and discharge light came on. Push started the car, got it going.
Took to Autozone, they gave me the spiel about it being only warranted for 1 month, of which I countered with what happens in my case, uh er uh. I asked what if I'd had the unit for 6 months and it wouldn't work, uh er uh. They then said get this, well it says that you might need to recharged frequently in summer months, I said, it's been winter and the temps gotten to maybe 75 at most, that qualifies for summer months when it's in the 90 and 100's, uh er uh.
The guy next to me looks over and says, I had one of those. Worked once and had to toss it, didn't work again. Said he bought a Powershot? and hadn't had issues with it. Needless to say I told them to keep the crummy unit as it had a battery in it and had to be discarded, so they may as well do it.
I've always keep telling myself to stop shopping at Autozone, and use NAPA next door. It is hard to break a bad habit. |

Well if its only warranteed for a month then why would they refund you? Sounds like you might just need a new battery in your car or stop leaving the lights on maybe? _________________ Der Schmutzige Süden.

Sears has an 1150 amp model that they were clearancing here recently for $79, I have had the 950 for awhile and loved it, bought the bigger one since it has 2 12v plugs, 2 110v plugs, light, built in air compressor, all the bells and whistles. Even at regular price of $100-$120 still a deal. A friend borrowed it at a campout and slow cooked chili with a crock pot plugged into the 110v and still had 80% charge left!!!!
I drove a tow truck for awhile and used a pretty nice one, but this one blows them away! _________________ The memories of a man in his old age, are the deeds of a man in his prime.
