hi, which cht guage that reads close to accurate reading? I need the 12mm sender aswell. thanks

You can crimp your own with a ring terminal that fits your plug. Cut off the 14mm that comes with the gauge, and crimp the wires to the 12mm ring.

wasn't there just a thread recently explaining that the ring terminal is actually a thermocouple and needs to be replaced with another one for it to work properly?

I might be wrong, I didn't read it too closely as I'm not at that point yet, but I thought it was saying something like that..

We don't need to have another debate about TC theory. The ring is just a generic AMP crimp ring terminal.

how much does it affect the readings if you lose 1/4" when grinding off the old ring terminal? Embarassed

It won't change the reading if you duplicate the positioning and heat transfer into the crimp containing the hot junction of the two TC wires.
