Search the forums, but I think most are buying the 14mm sender and replacing the ring with a 12mm _________________ Travis

You can crimp your own with a ring terminal that fits your plug. Cut off the 14mm that comes with the gauge, and crimp the wires to the 12mm ring.

wasn't there just a thread recently explaining that the ring terminal is actually a thermocouple and needs to be replaced with another one for it to work properly?
I might be wrong, I didn't read it too closely as I'm not at that point yet, but I thought it was saying something like that.. _________________ -pariah

We don't need to have another debate about TC theory. The ring is just a generic AMP crimp ring terminal.

how much does it affect the readings if you lose 1/4" when grinding off the old ring terminal? _________________ 1973 super 2110cc

It won't change the reading if you duplicate the positioning and heat transfer into the crimp containing the hot junction of the two TC wires.
