I just bought this kit and installed it but I ran into a problem. The rotor is rubbing on the back where the spindle pivots. Do I have the wrong kit or is there a spacer I can put? So it won't rub.[/code]

did you leave the bearing spacer in there or remove it ,,the grease seal seals on it ,you need it _________________ I like hammers. Lots of hammers. Hammers and me go way back.

Two solutions come to mind.
1. You will find that the rough casting of the rotor is rubbing against the lik pin carrier, right? Take a grinder to the back side of the rotor, it shouldn't take more than a small amount of smoothing to correct it.
2. Generator shims are the correct inside diameter to fit the spindle, you can trim the outside diameter with tin snips if you have clearance issues. It's been a while since I looked at it but I think you need to trim them to make them fit for spacers. It should only take one or two at most to make it work. |

I'll try the shim idea first see how that goes. Don't wanna grind anything yet. |

This isn't exactly on topic, but blue77bay's earlier response has me believing he may know the answer to my problem if you're still on here.
I've been taking apart my rear hub to fix some oil leaks. It's been leaking all over my disc brakes and figured this is not good. upon cleaning and reassembling with a seal kit, I noticed that the bracket for mounting the calipers is too thick. It's causing a gap or channel where the outer seal goes. I think the outer seal is falling into this gap and not allowing a tight seal. I suspect this is why its been leaking so much. See the picture I've attached.
Am I missing something here or is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a special gasket or spacer that I'm missing? Is this bracket the wrong thickness maybe? Thanks.
