Howdy All,
Replaced my clutch ages ago. Had to pull a few off things off engine to get it out.Working fine when I pulled it.It's a 1600 single port, 30/31 pict carb. Everythings back together, but won't start.
There's spark, timing is ok.Plug wires directed to correct plugs. Just wondering how much fuel to pour in the carb, and whether throttle should be open or closed ?
There's no shots of fuel when throttle is depressed also. The battery is a bit feeble and does'nt crank vigorously. Any suggestions appreciated Tony Very Happy

To start with, It sounds like the accelerator pump is clogged. There is a small ball bearing in line with the accelerator tube, make sure it is moving freely, do this before you pour gas in the carb. You can pour just a teaspoon full and keep the choke closed

I'd go with ~5ml, check fuel filter if fitted and fuel lines

Sorry, from one of the few, if not the only country that has not fully adopted the metric system. A teaspoon is about 5 ml
