I was thinking it would be cool to get the Seattle area vanagon'rs together for lunch the Saturday after Halloween. Some central location?
Any ideas? Segestions? Dicks in the u-distric? Beers??
What say the masses??

I think that is a great idea... And I would take you up on the offer if I lived in the Seattle area... However I am in Utah, but have been wondering if there is some sort of "Members Location Map" or something so that we can see who else on The Samba may live in our areas.
This would be very handy if someone who was new (like myself) to The Samba needed a hand from a fellow VW owner. Or just wanted to organise a camping trip or as you have suggested a nice lunch gathering.
So... is there anything like that? Ive searched "Member Map" and "Member Location" but didn't come up with anything. Maybe using different keywords? If there isn't a map of sorts, is it possible to have one put up? Something simple like those maps you see on peoples MySpace pages of states/countries they have traveled to?
Sorry... I did not mean to hi-jack your post. |

Dicks on 45th near Wallingford ? just off I5 ?
or the one on Brodway ?
the one on 45th has a bigger parking lot and less poliece dealing with street people.
I'd be up for 45th. |

I'd like to check out a syncro westy if any would be at the lunch, that is if you don't mind a moderately lifted Astro 4x4 crashing the party. I'd be driving down from Bellingham. May have an off road trip planned for this coming weekend though.(Nov.1) _________________ '03 Chevy Astro w/ NP233C 4x4 electronic shift transfer case, 4-5" Overlandvans lift kit, 4:10's w/ Detroit Locker, Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks w/ in-dash remote & onboard air compressor, 255 70R16 AT's, GTRV pop top w/ sleeper, Carefree Awning, Guacho couch, Coleman Fridge, and tons of Thule |

Looks like this thread is getting some traction. Would be great to meet some of you. Is it possible to edit the Thread title to have place and time (after it's settled)?

Can we confirm the Date as Saturday November 1st or Saturday November 8th?
My pea brain tells me the Saturday after Halloween is November 1, but I could be missinterpreting your proposed date. I know some that may indulge in Halloween activities to be inclusive of the whole weekend and therefore the Saturday after Holloween would be the 8th?
So what day are we meeting? Maybe another edit of the title to show the date rather than just 'Saturday'.
My wife will confirm, I am horrible with dates.... _________________ '89 Westy - EJ25/22 Frank 4.44 5mt
