does anyone know where I can get this or something similar?
Want to have some support of the column until i get a roll cage installed which will have a horizontal tube on the front hoop for the support. |

Make one.... I used a exhaust pipe clamp and a short length of strap steel welded to clamp for a mounting tab....
Used idea form this picture I found somewhere on i-net...
Found this from Jegs...
And this...
And this Chevy Part...
This is not rocket science... And keep in mind nobody sees it except you....

Of course exhaust clamps....so obvious but I didn't even "see it". Time to search the scrap pile for a bit of sheet metal for that tab. That pic from Jegs is also interesting. May fab some thing like that. |

The upper end of the column is what needs the support. This steel frame ties the windshield frame, hood/dash, and body into a more rigid unit and gives the steering column a solid mounting point right behind the dash

It all works even better with these brackets which fit in the channel of the new windshield frames, increasing its mounting rigidity.

Welded a plate to stiffener tube across body at upper end of column and you guessed it...Muffler clamp.
