|
|
So I picked up some drop extensions from another member of this forum, and I am probably going to try to put them on this weekend. I took a look at it today and got a little confused. I snapped some pictures so hopefully some of you can help me out. I know there is a thread about these but mostly all of that is swing axel.
First I know that I should remove the 3 bolts on the swing arm but after that I don't really know the procedure.
Second the line that runs accrost the swing arm, is that going to be a problem? Assuming that it is the brake line, I would like to not touch it.
Pictures...
Thanks in advance! |

Yes brake line is most likely gonna have to be moved. You will most likely have to remove the rubber bump stop as well, or at least cut it down. The squared off end bolts to the spring plate where the trailing arm currently is, than the arm swings up and bolts to the top holes in the extension. |

Sure, but look at how close that thing is going to be to the shock mount once the extensions are on there. A nice hard bump and that thing bottoms out, and there goes the brakes. |

Thanks fellas. The thread you gave me was the one I was talking about and it is mostly about swing axel. But I think I have a good grip on it.
So for routing the brake line, what would I do to do that? How has other people done it?
Thanks |

Route it behind the bump stop. Get it out from under the shock tower in case you bottom it out. |

I was wondering if you could tell me where you got them. A search of the classifieds got me nowhere. Thanks. |
