I have a set of these directional semaphores that came on my '50 11G and wondering if they are correct. If not what year(s) are they correct for?

1946 to July 1949. They are left and right handed. After July 1949 a semaphore would,fit in either side.

| I think directional semaphores were later than July 1949. More like end of 49 I believe. |

The date codes state BB it looks like.That will mean they are made in Feb/50. Im wondering if it is quite possible that these came on my car even if it is a June/50 build. Since parts are manufactured prior to assembly. Example: wheels,speedo etc

I know of a jan 1950, very untouched, that has left and right sems.
They seem to be original to the car.
But they usually started to be not used anymore in production from summer 1949.
So I can not immagine those where originally placed in a june 1950 car.

They were still being produced and used in 1950. Remember that there was a spare parts business that had to be supported. I also have seen some early '50 standards that seemed to have come with them from the factory. VW was known to use the best, newest parts on the exports/deluxes and "use up" the older parts on the standards. But those sems are generally regarded as '46-'49 versions.
