Recently I've taken up the RC car hobby, specifically the 1/10th Tamiya VW's. Since I own a 71 Bus, I needed an RC version of course. However I've found that no one really makes a nice 1/10th Bay Window body for RC. So after much searching I found this 3d printed model that I could upsize to 1/10th.

It was a lot of work, still a few little things left to do, but it's pretty much finished. I modified a Tamiya chassis to go under the bus, and it sits really low. But it was my first 3d printed RC car, and I learned a lot for the next project.

Wow, that is super cool.

I looked at the print file you linked and it says

You will need 3 neodymium magnets of 10 millimeters in diameter.

What are those for?

The original model was intended as a static display model, and the magnet is for the sliding door so you can display it open or closed.
I use the sliding door as access for the rc gear and battery.
