| We've hooked up all the wiring, but what brings power to the coil? we're not getting any power at the distributor from the coil... need some help |

Hello Anaheim,
Thats where i grew up....
Look at the top of the page on the right side.
Go into Tecnical then to wiring. Scroll down to 1963 and open it.
There is a Black wire that comes from the TERMINAL 15/54 on the
"D" which represents the ignition switch.
It then feeds the #1 fuse on the fuse block.
when you turn the ign switch on it goes to the ignition coil.
Do you have Testing equipment? Test Light,volt meter?? _________________ V.W.owner since 1967 |

power to the coil comes from the ignition switch. not fused, but on the fuse block, hooked to the same side as the wire coming from your ignition (should be a small black wire) _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

| ok I'll check that out, thanks... we ended up just jumping from the B+ on the voltage regulator to the positive on the coil. Got it running which was our main goal, it was our first time having it running! exciting stuff... thanks a lot guys |
