Hey all,
I've seen a few cars with a bamboo/tiki themed interior, and I love the combo of cheap w/ neat concept. Beach mat headliners, bamboo lined doors, post 'em up!
Here's a few examples from other guys:

I will have to dig up a shot of my 67s headliner-Voodoos is the coolest so far. I ran a bamboo shade/blind set like above in my 67, I added some tiki visors, a shift knob, a hula girl, cool tiki floor mats, etc etc and my wife called the car Creepy Tiki, but there was a guy on here a while back that had a sweet bay window bus he also called creepi tiki so Im not sure who was first. I cant find pics of the bus right now either. _________________ Der Schmutzige Süden.

Very cool rides.
Would it be appropriate of me to ask here what the relation is between tiki culture and custom car/hot rod culture? |

Your from Long Beach too. You should know. Ask all my Hawaiian cousins that are planted all up and down SoCal. It seems natural, ya know?

Voodooking, do you have any more pics of the interior of your bug? I think the thing is awesome, I've seen it in other threads, and it's pretty much what comes to mind when I think of a real individual ride. _________________ '68 White Bug

believe it or not - window blinds @ Walmart, K-mart, Target, etc. I used the same ones on my DC for the door/kick panels only I kept the strings in place. Mine just aren't as dark or it could be the different cameras.
