I am thinking about next July. I would like to get together a group and go to Little Grass Valley Res. for the weekend. Its in Northern California. Camping is only $10 or $20 a night and the lake is great. Need some help on how to put this together and who would be intrested. Let me know. This would be fun.

that sounds like fun, i think i can make it as long as it's later in july, the first week is my bday, the 4th, AND motoGP at laguna seca. after that i think i can do it. maybe the 18th?
i'm not sure how much i can help, it's hard to say now. i'm in the middle of getting out of my house and moving into an RV full time. we'll be roaming the country but already plan on being in the bay area for july.
if all goes well i should be able to help out with a website and email/communications at least. i'm sr. front end web developer and have been making webpages for nearly 12yrs now. if you come up with a cool name i'll pitch in the $10 for a domain and host it on my webserver, it wouldn't cost me anything more than the $10.
you can pm me for an email addy if you want to discuss in more detail. |

meyervw,
Your post title is a little misleading. Little Grass Valley Reservoir is really a pretty long way from Grass Valley. It's closer to Quincy and Oroville than it is to Grass Valley.
But, it is an awesome & beautiful lake, and a great suggestion - I highly recommend it.
Unfortunately my wife has developed altitude sickness a few years ago so we won't be able to attend.

| Sounds like a good time. I get my work schedule next month for 2009 and will keep an eye on this thread for firm dates as they develop.......and, see if I cannot recruit some PNW PDX'ers to caravan down. Keep it simple is my philosophy and it has worked well for our PNW PDX VANAGON SYNCRO DOKA WESTFALIA WESTRAVAGANZA http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=312314meetings......We have had two succesful ones so far, both loosely organized but very fun and very well attended. |

I really want to put this togther put I am now in the process of moving to Seattle. Work in my town has not been working out and I got layed off again. So now there is no work I want and am moving. I will be up in Feather Falls for July so maybe this can still be done. I would like to do this on the 18 and 19 of July. If you would like to go let me know. I am going to camp at the camp site by the dam. _________________ Spelling in my post may or may not be correct.

| I'd consider stopping by if this happens as it's my neck of the woods (I'm also in Chico) I went to a meet up in Santa Cruz a couple of years ago that we organized here on the Samba and it was really fun. Westy owners seem to have a lot of the same interests in addition to the vans. |
