can someone here who has an engine with dual 44 idf webers or has replaced an engine with dual webber cars tell me if the carbs have to come off to drop the motor? they look like they do, i want to know so i can have the gaskets ordered... before i pull the motor.

If it's a stock body, then yes they must come off.. If you cut the rear apron so you can just pull the motor straight back without dropping it, then you should be able to leave them on.

That's the primary reason I want to cut my apron anyway.. Razz

Take them off at the manifold to head. Leave the carbs attached to manifolds.
