Hey guys, my son and i have been working on his new 74 Baja. We want to replace the 009 with the spare 049 I have. The problem?

The fiber washer disintegrated. Now i have extensively searched the samba to find a source for them, or find out a suitable material to fab one myself but i have come up short. I cant bring myself to trash a nice old distributor over a washer.

So my question is: Does anyone know where i can get a suitable replacement, or a type of material I can make one from? Ive seen the question asked before but never answered.

What washer are you referring to? There is only an o-ring to seal the dist to the block.
