So what like 2 years ago? I bought a old record-vw slide show training media at bug o rama. I bought it as a gift for Tram. Anyways by being in Seattle it ended up in cugirs (jeffs) hands to be tranfured to a media we could all see. Well Jeff came through! Enjoy a scene into the past my Type 3 FI brothers and sisters!

Nice job Cugir and Tram and Notchboy! This video rocks -- it should be required viewing for all FI owners -- especially the part where it says to check the FI LAST. _________________ 71 Squareback-FI -- 73 Bay (subaru powered)

I was going to put it in the FI thread or your proFI thread joe but I didnt want to break into a conversation. Very cool vid and its one of many. Years ago I had one on the 411 Eberspacher gas heater. _________________

Work and collaboration went into getting that filmstrip and record transferred to digital medium. This was an actual dealership training overview. I remember watching that in one of my D-jet schools. There was a companion copy for L- Jet and also for direct diesel injection.
It's a nice piece of VW history with some important info. It needs to get parked somewhere in this forum permanently, and not keep getting deleted or moved.
Thank you. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I agree everyone should watch it. Nice to be reminded of things, and I like the psychedelic animation and colors. What a trip, man!
Was the record cleaned before being put to sound? Sounds like it is dusty, but it also might be heat or the grooves (reduce in size over time, especially when laid flat). Still, such a blessing to have. I might even watch it when I am stumped. _________________ Please consider I am Autistic, so I process information differently and still working on social skills. I just put the record on the old transcription turntable and burned it to a CD-ROM and sent the CD to the Cugir. It was really hard work- I think it took me two or three cocktails to get it done. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Thanks guys! That is a really terrific piece. EFI really is much more clear when presented as three subsets as opposed to one enormous system.
I think if more people saw this from the beginning there would be less of the tear-it-out mentality. It's a great document. |

no real point in having this as a sticky without the video.. missing pics & vids seems to be a common problem in many threads. |
