I just finished bolting up the newer 1.9 motor into the bus.
I was hoping someone would share any images you might have showing all electrical connections to the FI and the Ignition Systems, vacuum connections, fuel connections, etc.
Like an exploded view of what goes where. I have most of it in my head but there are a couple of wires I am a little bit unsure of. And I am also installing new wire where it is needed, mostly to the ground points with new ring terminals and some pieces of new wire spliced in where it was needed. Then wrapped in heat shrink and sealed up before securing with zip ties.
I would definitely appreciate the files if anyone would help me it would be great.

Do you have a Bentley and/or Haynes manual(s)? If not, good idea to start there. benplace.com is a good place to look for pics, like this one:

THANKS !
Now, I can get to work and have a near perfect reference. I want to get this beast running soon it has sat for to long.
Didi you bypass the Idle STABILIZATION UNIT that is usually mounted on the driver's side just aft of the ignition amplifier ? I was thinking of bypassing mine because some people said it would not make any difference whether it were connected or not ? What do you know about it ?

Hi,
I'm not sure which engine exactly you are putting in what year VW Van.....
but, I can send you pictures ...
I have boxfulls of 1.9 fuel injection stuff, like if you need a small part etc.
Engine conversions to Vanagons are 'what I do'............professionally, full time.
I'm definitely equipped to supply you with whatever you need.
Not sure if I posted this right or what. Haven't spent time on Samba Forums much.

Do you have a coolant tank for 83-85 Vanagon Gas powered ?
I need the tank, the bracket and the cap if you have them.
Have you ever run the Vanagon 1.9's with the Idle Stabilizer bypassed ? Is it ok to by pass the device ? Just bypass by plugging the the jack and the plug together ? I have heard the deice is useless.
