im trying to read up on this and search/read threads here, but I need some clarification from those who know...
I have a 67 beetle, it was sold and purchased in California.
It has the engine that came in it originally, the "dual intake preheating pipes and dual snorkle aircleaner" as ive read ...
as seen here:
can I get a header for this or is there any specific requirements I have exhaust-wise for this specific setup?
I was all ready to order one up for it, when I noticed on the aircooled.net site that the header I was considering said specifically it couldn't be used on CA models with dual preheat hoses.
now im trying to find one that IS listed as supporting that, but thats the only reference ive seen anywhere to not being able to use the same header as the next guy.
if I went with a stock german replacement im guessing id also need a specific model to support the dual pre-heat?

what they are refering to is.
on 1974 CA only bugs they had 2 heat riser pipes on each side.
your 67 only has 1 pipe per side and most any aftermarket exhaust will work for your application.
im trying to find a picture but not having much luck

ok found this in the classifides
the CA only manifold. see how there are 2 heat riser pipes on each side.
all other years and states only had 1 pipe, just like your car does. just order the exhaust, it will work for you

I got it now. double meaning two on each side, not 2, one on each side.
newbie out!
