The ad below is captioned as a WWII "Thing" distributor. Anyone have any thoughts?

The badge looks way to modern to be of 1940's vintage but I do get surprised every now and then. I don't argue the shielding thoughts as the thing looks near bullet proof but the era claimed makes me wonder. _________________ Roads Scholar

It's a 68-74 NATO shielded distributor.
He's confused. _________________ Glenn

MIL spec distributor for 181 with radio. I threw one away because it is centrifugal only and the 1500 singleport engine didn´t like it. I heard it has an advance curve close to Bosch 050. _________________
