First time replacing my rear shocks with some new Bilstein HDs. Looks easy and straightforward but the inside upper nut looks kinda hard to get at. I mean the space between the upper shock mounting tab and the bodywork (engine compartment wall?) seems really tight. Like my wrench is too fat to get in there and hold the nut.

Any rear shock R&R tips re: this and in general?

i'm also going to do this shortly...i'd also like to hear any other tips that anyone has on doing the rear shocks.

i seem to remember someone recommending spraying all the threads in question with a penetrant several days before starting the job, and repeating a few times...true?

Its easier than you think. Just remove upper bolt, nut is tacked to body.
