Here is a pic of her with the new wheels. Oil leak, front fan motor, drivers power window motor and coolant pipe leak have have all been fixed. Gas tank reseal and fuel lines next. Have not had much time to clean up all the rubber/plastic pieces on the body, so they look a little thirsty
Thanks to Christopher (Loogy) for some emails and help figuring out if anything was going to be needed to fit these wheels and it turns out, not much needed.
17x7.5 with a 35mm offset. Very thin front spacer the only thing needed due to the tires being 235/45-17. Spacers won't be needed when I get 225 or narrower tires. I will add this to the ultimate wheel post as well. |

Looking good there dude, I wish I had held out for that 1/2 inch narrower wheels, just a lot less hassle (mine are 8.25")
A white van with a nice set of wheels sure looks sharp. _________________ Tencentlife said,

The crime scene paint on the street really distracts from a fine photograph. Very sharp bus! _________________ Current fleet: Vanagons, two '88 GLs and an 89 Bluestar. Beetles, '63, '64, '72 convertible. Plus, four Subarus and three Prius. Too many cars. |

Yep, the van looks great. I love those wheels on there. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)

I think that AMG wheels are the best looking wheel to be put on a vanagon. Just seems to me like the designs work well with the vanagon boxiness....
Here is another example....
Nice looking ride Hendoo. _________________ Mike
