I currently have my dash out and am curious about the distance between glovebox and the nose sheetmetal. I need to find a place to mount a small bluetooth amplifier, and if I have 1.5inches available, mounting behind (in front) of the glovebox would be ideal.

I can't tell you exactly what it is, but I mounted my amp on the airbox tube. You have to be careful because some areas are double wall and some are single. If you choose a single area you will put the screw right thru the nose.

here are some photos from the gallery what it looks like with the nose skin off.

How about above the radio where the original speaker was?

That might work. Attached to the metal dash cover?

The center air box has a tube on each side that runs out to the doors. That is a perfect place to mount something and where I mounted an amp, and an extra fuse box. The fuse box, and a small VDO gauge light trimmer are on the left side and the speaker amp on the right under the glove box.

You can mount on the cabin side of this tube. The screws will stick into the tube and not bother anything like my fuse box and the light trimmer.

There is a fair amount of space in a wedge shaped volume above the glove box and behind the plastic hoses going up to the dash. You might have to make a bracket to suspend it in mid-air, and the installation might get in the way of putting in the glovebox liner.

There is tons of room behind the glove box. It’s in front of the glove box that is more difficult Very Happy
