this stash should be in a museum... I shouldn't be broken out into 400 different collectors private rooms.
IF anyone here knows the right people to contact... please forward this link to someone that will allow this great collection to remain together... and be viewed by all.
Autostadt...
Prototyp
Grundmann
I don't know... but it should remain as one I think |

I think it must be Mrs. Hebmullers estate selling this stuff... it is too much factory stuff to be anything else... She died a few months ago. |

I didn't see the union jack icon for english language until after I looked through the auction lots. :-(
It did state, if you read the fine print in the Buying section, that they require absentee bidders to send in absentee bids 24 hours in advance - Or you could call on telephone and bid live...
Cool stuff! Thanks Eric! |

Seems odd that it wasn't better advertised! Nobody I know in the VW or Porsche or Mercedes world knew about this auction... only a friend in the art poster business.
Similar to that Dannenhauer at auction in Australia a while back... Samba got the word out at the last second....
Everett... I saw that VW truck drawing too... kinda confusing. Notice that the title has been cut off the sheet... next to the logo.
sure wish there was a LOT price and a buy it now! |

This place has such auctions a few times every year.
If you look at the past auctions (via the archives), you will find many more Porsche artifacts that went under the hammer....
How about - the W30 windtunnel model, Kaes's personal diaries from the 30's detailing every day, negatives, original documents, plans of Porsche engines... etc. And the very sad thing is, at least to what I understand, a lot of these artifacts were actually being kept in Kaes's house. He was Porsche's archivist at the time - a great role considering his history and place in the company. And when he sadly passed away, the stuff in his house simply got broken off into bits and auctioned away, item by item.
I am sure that the likes of Grundmann, the Prototyp Museum in Hamburg and perhaps even Dieter at the Porsche archive have managed to salvage some of the bits... but indeed it is such a shame that this is being broken up into different collectors hands.
If only my pockets were deeper. |

Me too, because then I could just say "I can't afford that." instead of thinking how much it would cost to bid on a few lots.
Plus it would stay together... This reminds me of the guy who bought the photo archives from the past owner of Competition Motors and pieced the whole thing out on eBay. _________________ How to Post Photos
