83 1/2 - 91 vanagon 6 rib in a buggy?

I recently purchased a 6 rib mid shift trans from a water cooled vanagon and would like to put it in a buggy using a T1 motor. Is this possible? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Is there anywhere to find info on what size flywheel to use and any problems i might run into? I am using tubular frame horns so i dont think i will have any clearance issues...
