can the driver and passenger front seats be switched? are there any issues with this? my driver seat is wearing on the left side from me getting in and out. if I switched them, it would be like new again. |

I think I've done that with every Vanagon I've owned. You basically get a new driver's seat. |

The controls end up on the opposite side but that's about the only downside. Great way to wear your seats out more evenly. |

Pretty sure I did this by accident when I put my seats back in my van. _________________ '91 Carat Westy

I have four VW bucket seats.. 2 more retrofitted into the back bench.
I'll rotate em like tires.
But yeah.. they slide right out.. Was even thinking of adding a lil loopie thing to help grab that lil lock lever more easily.
The rear ones are removed regularly for hauling lumber and masts n booms and stuff. _________________ -89 GL Westy, SVX.. finally.
