Aftermarket Ski rack.
Has anyone ever seen this style before?
I'm not 100% convinced it is even for a VW but any help would be great!
There are no makers marks at all.

It's very cool. And very universal- flexible feet, adjustable clamps... It puts a couple pairs of skis straight over the license plate light when bolted to a bug. It holds 6 pairs so more likely it was built for a larger capacity car.

That's the tell of a VW-specific kit- the rear bumper mounts. If there isn't one- I sure think it is short the second crossbar. Still neat though.
